Music2Go Marketing is a dynamic, interactive simulation that brings the Principles of Marketing to life. Students begin by managing core decisions such as Price, Retail Margin, Sales Forecast, and Advertising for a single product. As the simulation progresses, they gain control over Sales Promotion, Product Development, and even the launch of new products—mirroring real-world marketing challenges.
Students will continue using the Smartsims platform, just as they did with MikesBikes, ensuring a smooth transition. The simulation will run similarly, with a maximum team size of 5 students per chapter, allowing for collaborative learning and strategic decision-making.
Each week, you’ll make real marketing decisions, pricing, advertising, distribution, product development, and more. Once the weekly rollover happens, all decisions are processed, results are revealed, and the competition heats up.
Your goal? Maximize Total Marketing Contribution (TMC) — the key performance measure used to rank teams on the course scoreboard. Expect to spend about 1 hour per week reviewing reports, adjusting strategies, and preparing your decisions over a 5-week period.
